Dr. Melanie Schreiner


Melanie Schreiner is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Chair of Management at the Department for Politics and Management, University of Konstanz, Germany.

She studied economics and business administration at the University of Hohenheim, Germany (1993-1999).

After working as a business analyst with a major consulting firm, she became a Ph.D. student at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and completed her Ph.D. in business administration in 2004.

Before joining the University of Konstanz in 2005, she was a research fellow at the Department for International Business and Strategy at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.

Research Areas

Organizing and managing in inter-organizational contexts; in particular, collaborative capabilities of organizations and the emergence and effects of inter-organizational identity and learning

Function within the Center

Research Project "Construction of collective identity and dynamics of organizational learning in UN peace operations" (with Sebastian Döring)
